In case you weren’t aware, a strong storm is currently barreling its way towards the East Coast.

The Washington Redskins, meanwhile, safely landed home tonight after flying from Pittsburgh and their loss to the Steelers.

Hurricane Sandy is obviously on the minds of many who are preparing for the worse, including those in the D.C. area. Evem Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was asked about the storm after today’s game.

“We’re very aware of it,” Griffin III said. “We pray for everybody’s safety. Hopefully, it won’t affect our preparation or anyone else. It’s definitely something we’re conscious of and we’ll get back tonight and see what happens.”

When the Redskins’ plane landed, a few players took to Twitter to show their concerns and other random thoughts about the approaching storm:

Offensive lineman Adam Gettis:

Cornerback Richard Crawford:

Fullback Eric Kettani:

For the record, even though Hurricane Sandy is forcing many local schools and businesses to shut down for at least a couple days to start the week, the Redskins are going to have as normal of a schedule this week as possible.

As of now, the team is practicing on Monday and will have its usual day off on Tuesday before getting back at it on Wednesday and preparing for next Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers at FedExField.

But, please, stay safe out there.
