The computers at AccuScore don’t seem to really think Washington can go into Pittsburgh today and get a win. But the two teams will play regardless.
Anyway, the majority of AccuScore’s projections for today’s game between the Redskins (3-4) and the Steelers (3-3) have to do with the team’s two quarterbacks: Robert Griffin III and Ben Roethlisberger.
Overall, the Steelers won 71 percent of 10,000 AccuScore simulations of today’s game. But those odds go the Redskins way if Griffin III can have a monster game.
That makes sense, right?
Here’s the highlights of today’s AccuScore predictions for Redskins-Steelers, according to ESPN:
- If Griffin III has 250-plus passing yards, 75-plus rushing yards and three total touchdowns, the Redskins are the 54-percent favorites.
- If Roethlisberger has 275-plus passing yards, 2-plus touchdowns and less than 1 interception, the Steelers are 80-percent favorites.
- Chances of Roethlisberger throwing more interceptions than touchdowns at 14 percent. If he does throw more interceptions than touchdowns, then the Redskins become 56-percent favorites.
- AccuScore lists the Steelers as 71-percent (7,100) favorites out of 10,000 simulations.
