VIDEO: The Drumline Celebrates A Win
Posted by on October 15, 2012 – 10:11 amThere was lots to celebrate last night as nearly 80,000 happy fans filed out of FedExField.
The Washington Redskins used a solid all-around effort to defeat the Minnesota Vikings 38-26. The win pushed the Redskins to 3-3 on the young season and gave the team some all-important momentum heading into Sunday’s game against the New York Giants — the team’s NFC East Division opener.
Perhaps most importantly for the fans, however, was that the win also snapped an eight-game losing streak by the Redskins at FedExField. For whatever reason, the home-field advantage hadn’t been too kind to the Redskins for the past year or so, but the win against the Vikings is hopefully the first of many home wins for the rest of the season.
There were several cheers and chants as the fans left the stadium, but the Redskins Marching Band gave them a show.
Check out this video (via MarshallJohnson on YouTube) of the drumline gettin’ down:

You have to live here to love it. I would LOOOVE for them to break out and do this during a game. You think the crowd was loud after RG3 76yard td. WHEW!!!! This would be off the scale.
HTTR!!

One of my favorite parts of the FedEx experience…gameday wouldn’t be the same without this post game musical celebration.

Where in the stadium does the band perform the drumline? I have been a season ticket holder for twelve years and never knew about it until now.
