Redskins Players Have Nationals Fever

You weren’t alone if you jumped out of your chair last night when Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth sent shockwaves through the D.C. area after crushing a walk-off home run against the St. Louis Cardinals to force tonight’s decisive Game 5 in the National League Division Series.
Several teammates on the Washington Redskins were also tuned into the game and went directly to Twitter to tell everybody about the game and Werth’s tremendous at-bat, which lasted 13 pitches until it ended.
It’s, of course, not the first time in recent memory the Redskins players have gotten behind a D.C.-area team battling in the playoffs. Remember when they got behind the Washington Capitals during their playoff run last season?
