AccuScore — one of the industry’s leaders in sports projections and simulations — has determined that if Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III has less than 25 rushing yards today against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then the Redskins have a 28 percent chance of winning the game.
Wait, huh?
How do you…? Nevermind. Not going to touch this one. Math has definitely never been my strong subject.
Anyway, ESPN has a video out with various projections and predictions for today’s Redskins-Bucs game, which kicks off at 4:25 p.m. from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
What’s the best of all the projections you ask?
AccuScore simulated today’s Redskins-Buccaneers game 1,000 times. The Redskins came out victorious 53 percent of the time — or 530 times.
See, I can do simple math. With a calculator, that is.
Here’s a couple other interesting projections from AccuScore regarding today’s game:
- There’s a 15 percent chance Griffin III and Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman pass for 250 yards each today.
- If Griffin III has more than 40 rushing yards against the Buccaneers, the Redskins are 65-percent favorites.
- If Griffin III has less than 25 rushing yards, however, the Buccaneers are 72-percent favorites.
CHIME IN: What crazy projections do you have for today’s game vs. the Buccaneers? And do you have the math to back it up? If you don’t that’s OK, I guess.
