Last Sunday’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals certainly wasn’t looked at as an embarrassment for the Washington Redskins.
After all, the Bengals were a playoff team in 2011 and they did a great job utilizing their weapons on offense, while keeping the Redskins’ high-scoring offense at bay for major parts of the game.
Though the loss isn’t a back-breaker for the team, some media outlets are acting as if the Redskins’ season is essentially over.

For the second time in two weeks, the Washington Redskins have made the cover of Sports Illustrated.
It happened Sept. 12 when rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III became the seventh Redskins quarterback in team history to become the Sports Illustrated cover boy.
Now, the Redskins are part of a series of cover stories about the resurgence of sports in the Washington, D.C., era.

He proudly drives a ’91 Mazda sedan, isn’t scared to carry the ball without his helmet on (see above) and now he’s a nominee for the rookie of the week.
And, with a big push from you Redskins fans, running back Alfred Morris could become the second Washington rookie to win the Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week award in three weeks.
Morris — a Florida Atlantic product who was selected by the Redskins in the sixth round in April’s NFL Draft — was nominated for his performance last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, in which he carried the ball 17 times for 78 yards and scored a touchdown.
Voting for Morris is easy.
