Hey Dallas Pizzeria: Learn Punctuation
Posted by on September 7, 2012 – 10:12 amIt’s one thing that a Dallas pizzeria is charging Washington Redskins fans $863.49 (plus toppings and tax) for a slice of pizza and a drink.
But if that Dallas pizzeria is trying to make some sort of statement, it might want to make sure its stupid sign has everything punctuated correctly.
According to Fox Sports Southwest, Extreme Pizza in Dallas put up the above sign Wednesday during the Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants season opener.
The place typically charges $3.50 for a jumbo slice of pizza and a drink, but increases that total by more than 24,500 percent if you happen to be a Redskins or Giants fan.
See that, Extreme Pizza? There’s no apostrophe in either of those teams’ names.
OK, OK — I definitely get things wrong sometimes. But it’s always nice to get an early poke in at Dallas Cowboys fans.
Or is it “Cowboy’s” fans?
Maybe Extreme Pizza isn’t all there because they’re still mad that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones decided to do a rap for Papa John’s and not their establishment (via theloomisagency on YouTube):
Though this video kind of makes me sick, a Papa John’s pizza sure sounds good right about now.
Anyway, I think Redskins middle linebacker London Fletcher had it right when he said he wished both the Giants and the Cowboys could’ve lost Wednesday. Unfortunately, Dallas came out on the winning end.
The Redskins and the Cowboys face off in Dallas on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22), by the way. It’s never too early to prepare for that.
