Posted by Andrew Walker on September 7, 2012 – 4:31 pm

Eight rookies are on the Washington Redskins’ 53-man roster heading into Sunday’s 2012 season opener against the New Orleans Saints.

And although all eight of those rookies — Jordan Bernstine, Kirk Cousins, Richard Crawford, Adam Gettis, Robert Griffin III, Josh LeRibeus, Alfred Morris and Keenan Robinson — received significant playing time in the Redskins’ four preseason games this year, each one of them is yet to taste the thrill of a regular-season football game.

Friday’s Redskins Practice Video

Posted by Andrew Walker on September 7, 2012 – 12:33 pm

The Washington Redskins took practice back indoors Friday as they made their final preparations for their season opener Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

The Redskins have enjoyed utilizing their indoor training facility this week to pump up loud crowd noises out of its speakers as the team tries to get used to the noise level expected Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

A defensive assistant coach on that championship Surge team? Haslett.

“To be able play, win a world championship in the World Football League and be coached by a defensive coordinator so cool as Jim Haslett, I have to pinch myself every day,” Goldberg told Carriker and Carroll. “Anytime you can play the sport [with] a coach that you respect because of his playing days and that you revere because of his mentality, you’re an extension of him, obviously, by being part of the defensive team. It was an honor, and probably the best football experience of my life.”

It’s one thing that a Dallas pizzeria is charging Washington Redskins fans $863.49 (plus toppings and tax) for a slice of pizza and a drink.

But if that Dallas pizzeria is trying to make some sort of statement, it might want to make sure its stupid sign has everything punctuated correctly.

According to Fox Sports Southwest, Extreme Pizza in Dallas put up the above sign Wednesday during the Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants season opener.
