Don’t Be Confused By Two Kickoff Times
Posted by on August 17, 2012 – 9:00 amSome schedules say 8 p.m., others say 7 p.m., but don’t freak out if you see two kickoff times listed for Saturday’s preseason game between the Washington Redskins and the host Chicago Bears.
That’s because, of course, Chicago is currently in the Central Time Zone, meaning the Windy City is an hour behind.
So, if you’re in the Eastern Time Zone, the game starts around 8 p.m. If you’re in the Central Time Zone, the game starts around 7 p.m.
Simple enough? Or did I just confuse you more?
Anyway, the last time the Redskins went into Chicago, cornerback DeAngelo Hall picked off Bears quarterback Jay Cutler four times in the Redskins’ 17-14 win in October of 2010.
With most of the starters expected to play up to just one half in Saturday’s game, it’s highly unlikely Hall can repeat that performance. But, then again, it’d be really cool if he did.
Question: What are you looking forward to seeing the most in Saturday night’s game against the Bears? Feel free to comment below.

Seeing more playing time from RG3 and our starting D. Like to see RG3 get more comfortable (or atleast make me feel comfortable) with his passing game.

I am really looking forward to seeing RGIII on some bootleg and waggle plays to show case his speed and mobility in the pocket. I am also—maybe not really looking forward to it—seeing how well the Redskins patchwork line works against Chicago’s tough front seven.
On the defensive side of the ball my eyes will be glued to the secondary, particularly the safety position. I think this spot is probably the team’s weakest overall position. I am still trying to grasp the rationale behind not giving LaRon Landry a one year deal (the Jets got him dirt cheap) and letting OJ go. Neither of those guys would’ve carried a huge cap hit this year, and were way better in coverage than the unit the ‘Skins are putting on the field. Hopefully, Haslett can scheme well to cover some of the deficiencies the secondary will probably have this year.

I know Redskins fans are idiots and all, but I’m sure they understand the concept of time zones.
Maybe not, though. Anyway, what an informative post!

When Mr. Walker was trying to explain time zones, it really seemed he believed he was talking to an audience that for the most part has around a first grade level intelligence and thinking ability. I guess he has a point, though–DC and NOVA have basically become third-world countries unto themselves. So, Mr. Walker has made it fairly clear with his entry here just how bad it has become in DC and NOVA over the last 25 or 30 years. I moved away from the area long long long time ago–I’m so happy I missed the invasion.
