Training Camp Video: Running Backs

Our final training camp video from Tuesday’s closed practice includes the team’s running backs.
One of the question marks heading into Thursday’s first preseason game at Buffalo is who will see time at fullback — one of the most important aspects of the Redskins’ running game?
With usual starter Darrel Young out with an injury, Dorson Boyce has been filling in at practice. Pro Bowl tight end Chris Cooley was also listed as an option on recently-released depth chart.
Here’s some video of the group going through drills on Tuesday:

i think roy helu should be a good back-up for tim hightower. think of how good helu played during hightowers injury. i know all three of them will get good minutes. but its just a thought

Malcolm,
If you had a chance to get out to training camp (yes, i know its not a game situation) I think you might have been persuaded by the way Royster looks compared to the other backs he is praciting with. If you can see the way he is going about things this training camp, then I am positive you would share the same view with the coach placing Royster as the #2 back. I said it back in late June or early July that I thought this guy was going to turn a lot of heads this season and i still believe he will be taking over the #1 spot maybe even as soon as the first quarter of the season… Not taking anything from the guys he is competing against, but in my OPINION* he seems to stand out more than the others.
