But this time, it’s in NFL jersey sales.
According to the Washington Post, since April 1, Griffin III currently only trails Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
It’s not surprising that Griffin III’s jersey has been selling like hotcakes considering the hype surrounding the Heisman Trophy winner since his arrival in D.C. Also, if you remember, he had the top-selling jersey in May.
According to the Washington Post, the top 10 jerseys from April 1 (the start of the league’s fiscal year) through July 31 are:
1. Peyton Manning
2. Robert Griffin III
3. Tim Tebow (hear that, ESPN?)
4. Andrew Luck
5. Eli Manning
6. Aaron Rodgers
7. Patrick Willis
8. Tom Brady
9. Cam Newton
10. Troy Polamalu
Other NFC East members made the top 25, including:
11. Victor Cruz (New York Giants)
13. Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys)
19. DeMarcus Ware (Dallas Cowboys)
21. Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys)
23. Michael Vick (Philadelphia Eagles)
