The newest member of the Washington Redskins was quick to pick up on the team’s lingo.

Wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe — who was claimed off waivers by the Redskins on Friday — tweeted this early this morning:

Briscoe — who will wear No. 19 with the Redskins — is a big and talented wide receiver. Last season, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Kansas product led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with six touchdown receptions.

In 18 career games spanning over two seasons with the Buccaneers and the Cincinnati Bengals, Briscoe has 41 receptions for 480 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.

Here’s a video from Briscoe’s Kansas days that Redskins fans might enjoy. It would appear yards after catch could be his specialty:

Welcome to D.C., Dezmon.

The kid has size and the speed. If the skins can get him to buy in and turn the corner it’s worth a run in camp. You can never have to much young talent in the fold.
