Inside The Park: Getting Into A Routine

Posted by Ryan Kerrigan on July 28, 2012 – 6:46 am

Note: Each day during the team’s training camp, Washington Redskins’ outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan will blog his insights about the team and his own life as he begins his second season in the NFL. To ask Ryan a question for the blog, you can leave a comment below, tweet your question to the Redskins’ account (@Redskins) with the hashtag #KerriganBlog, or leave a comment on the Redskins’ Facebook or Google+ pages.

Another good day of work in the books. I know it’s become the cliché thing to talk about, but Mother Nature was much kinder to us today. The weather was great and we were able to have another productive day on the field.

It’s good to be two in days and to start getting into a routine.

Yet again, another great turnout from the fans today! If you all only knew how much it means to us to have such great support.

The energy level at practice is completely different with all of you there and it makes for an even more competitive atmosphere.

Thanks again for the great support.

Here’s our daily questions. As always, feel free to send in your questions on the comments below or through the various Redskins social media outlets:

From ‘Brad Hall’ on the Redskins Blog:
What does it mean to be a REDSKIN? Not just (an) NFL football player, but a REDSKIN!”

It’s a pretty special thing to be able to put on the burgundy and gold each Sunday. Knowing the tradition and history associated with Redskins football, I feel very fortunate to be part of such an awesome franchise. I honestly couldn’t be happier with where I’m playing. The fans here in Washington make it a blast to be a part of this team.

From ‘Charles Jarvis’ on the Redskins Facebook:
“How much of an impact do you think Jarvis Jenkins will have on the defense this year, now that he is healthy again?”

We expect a lot out of Jarvis this year. It was a big blow when we lost him last year because he’s such a talented player. He’s worked his butt off to come back from his injury and he’s looked really good these first couple days of practice. He’s someone that can have a big impact on our defense this year and we’re pumped to have him back.

Well fans, another day is in the books. Not surprisingly, I’m pretty tired again! Looking forward to even bigger crowds tomorrow — hope to see you there!

What kind of schedule do you see the Redskins having this year? Do you think you’ll make the playoffs?

Do you have any kind of wager with any other defensive player(s) on who will get more sacks this upcoming season?
