Redskins Thoughts With Shooting Victims

If you’re like me and perhaps hundreds of thousands — if not millions — of other Americans, you woke up this morning and heard about the tragic shooting at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater overnight.
The most recent figures show 12 people were killed and another 38 were injured when a gunman wearing a gas mask and body armor opened fire in the near-Denver theater at the opening of The Dark Knight Rises.
Disgusting. Disheartening.
Anyway, several members of the Washington Redskins took to Twitter to publicly offer their thoughts to the victims and their families of this senseless act.
The most telling tweet so far comes from cornerback Morgan Trent, who said:
A shame that Gotham city isn't too far from our world today. Prayers to the victims families in Aurora.—

Several other Redskins joined in to offer their thoughts, including:
Offensive tackle Tyler Polumbus:
What a nightmare to wake up to. So many lives lost—

Nose tackle Delvin Johnson:
Prayers goes out to all the families involved in colorado shooting.. Wow—

Defensive lineman Adam Carriker:

Running back Roy Helu Jr.:
Life is but a vapor, here one moment and gone the next. Lord please comfort the families of the victims in aurora, co. vengeance is yours—

Running back Tim Hightower:
Praying for peace and comfort for all friends and families in Colorado, I refuse to live life in fear. 91 psalms—

Corner back Brandyn Thompson:
Colorado………man Smh….🙏 up—

Perhaps the only comfort one can take from all this is that the alleged gunman is in police custody and should face a trial and lots of time behind bars — if not further punishment — for his actions.
With that, there’s certainly no words to express how sorry I am to anybody directly or indirectly involved in this gutless act.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. May the Lord bless them and keep them. An un-necessary tragedy.
