Players’ ‘Time Off’ Spent Getting Sweaty
Posted by on June 20, 2012 – 1:58 pmTomorrow marks exactly one week since Redskins’ coach Mike Shanahan sent his team home for a few weeks before training camp — and the 2012 season — officially begins.
But many Redskins players don’t see “time off” as an option.
In order to maintain their conditioning from organized team activities and mini-camp, several players this week have hit the gym hard as they prepare for what is sure to be a grueling training camp and preseason schedule.
Many of those players weren’t also shy about showing how they work on their fitness, taking to Twitter to display their work. Take today for example:
Second-year defensive lineman Chris Baker:

Rookie running back Lennon Creer:

Second-year running back Tristan Davis:
After I workout I reach into my pocket and all I pulled out was sweat, making deposits now for the season #w instagr.am/p/MGZSZ6I7YN/—

That is one sweaty arm, dude.
Anyway, it’s great to see younger players embrace hard work — even when they’ve been given a few weeks to relax a little bit.
