It’s not too late to sign up for the ever-popular Washington Redskins Cheerleaders’ July Youth Summer Dance and Cheer Camps.
Attendees will receive a free Redskins Youth Summer Dance and Cheer Camp T-shirt and will be taught a dance routine that could be performed at a Redskins home game in front of more than 85,000 fans during the 2012 season (weather permitting).
The camps will be led by one of the top instructors in the country: WRC Director Stephanie Jojokian.
“Our camps truly challenge kids to get to the next skill level in cheerleading and dance,” Jojokian said. “Parents are always surprised at how much their child has learned at the friends and family show after each camp.”
Camp participants will learn dance routines, improve their ballet techniques, refine their jazz skills and enhance their gymnastics stunts. They will also be taught team stunts and hip-hop routines. Awards will be given to participants for great performances, showmanship and technique.
Jojokian said the WRC always benefit from working with the aspiring area dancers and cheerleaders.
“Each year I look forward to the kids that attend summer camps,” she said. “Their energy and enthusiasm to learn is contagious and helps us to set off our cheerleading season as well.”
