For the second straight week, Redskins players participating on the team’s 80th Anniversary Thank You Tour got the opportunity to ride on some of the best roller coasters Virginia has to offer.
On Saturday, five current and one former Redskins players did just that at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Va. — and we’ve got video of their up and down — and left and right and every other twist and turn — experience.
It was current Redskins players DeJon Gomes, Brandyn Thompson, Brandon Banks, Kevin Barnes and DeAngelo Hall and former Redskins great wide receiver Frank Grant who were brave enough to take on two of Kings Dominions’ best roller coasters: Volcano: The Blast Coaster and Intimidator 305 — known as the “tallest, fastest and most thrilling roller coaster on the East Coast.”
After riding Volcano: The Blast Coaster, the guys looked as if they wanted to ride it over and over again. After riding Intimidator 305, however, it seemed as though they went through enough roller coaster amusement for the day.
Here’s a video from the trip, which begins with our wonderful reception from the fans at Kings Dominion:
