Rookie Kirkland One Tough Cookie

Redskins’ rookie receiver Samuel Kirkland said organized team activities have been a grind as he learns the ins and outs of a National Football League offense.
But no matter how tough OTAs have been for Kirkland, it couldn’t have been as tough as last September, when Kirkland — then a receiver at Kent State University — took a vicious hit from a Louisiana defensive back and spent five hours in the hospital nursing some bruised lungs.

VIDEO: Thursday’s Round Of OTAs

The Washington Redskins on Thursday participated in their tenth and final round of organized team activities for the 2012 season at Redskins Park.
The obvious difference between Thursday’s OTAs and previous ones attended by the media was the insertion of several game-specific scenarios in all facets of the workouts.

80th Tour Continues Friday, Saturday

The Washington Redskins’ 80th Anniversary Thank You Tour continues on Friday and Saturday with four very exciting trips in Virginia.
And, as usual, several current and former Redskins players — as well as team personnel — are expected to make all four trips to interact with the fans.

Santana Moss Visits ESPN’s “NFL 32″

Redskins’ veteran wide receiver Santana Moss Wednesday evening made an appearance on ESPN’s “NFL 32,” the network’s daily look at the ongoings of the National Football League’s 32 football teams.
Moss became the second Redskins player to make an appearance on the show in less than a week. Second year outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan called into the show May 31.
