Tour: Virginia Beach, Here We Come

Posted by Andrew Walker on June 2, 2012 – 6:25 am

The Washington Redskins 80th Anniversary Season Thank You Tour is officially on the road again, on the way to its first destination of the day.

And today, the wheels on the bus go round and round until we get to Virginia Beach, Va. After that, we’ll head to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va.

Today’s event features two very fun stops for those aboard. It begins at 11 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Patriotic Festival, where a collection of current and former Redskins and the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders will greet the crowds.

Event emcee Amanda Mitchell is set to introduce an All-Star cast in Virginia Beach. Scheduled to appear are 10 former and current Redskins players.

The Redskins will then get back on their 80th Anniversary Season Thank You tour bus and head to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, where, who knows — you might have the chance to ride a roller coaster with a Redskins’ player or cheerleader.

Set to appear for the team at Busch Gardens are nine former and current Redskins players.

You can also tune in today to Ustream on the Redskins Mobile App or to our Ustream Facebook tab starting at 11 a.m. for live, behind-the-scenes updates all day long from the Redskins 80th Anniversary Thank You Tour.

We’re anticipating a great day today, and hope to have the opportunity to thank thousands of fans for their support over the past 80 years — and for their support in 2012 and beyond.

Keep checking the blog for updates from each stop of the Thank You Tour today.
