Rainy Monday Brings First OTA Indoors
Posted by on May 22, 2012 – 11:08 amA steady, annoying drizzle was the weather theme at Redskins Park Monday morning, so head coach Mike Shanahan decided to bring the team’s first round of organized team activities inside.
It was the first time Shanahan has been afforded that luxury. The team’s brand new indoor training facility was just recently completed, and its purpose is ideal for days like Monday.
“Perfect timing, eh?” second-year outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan said after Monday’s activities. “This is what we built it for, for days like this when the weather’s not cooperative.”

Rackers, who was signed last month to compete with three-year Redskins’ starter Graham Gano for the team’s kicking duties, said he’s enjoying his time with his new squad.

Rookie Offensive Lineman Gets Feet Wet
Posted by on May 22, 2012 – 9:34 amThere’s something to be said about that first day of the season when you’re finally allowed to run drills against your teammates — and not go against tackling dummies.
Redskins’ rookie offensive tackle Tom Compton said he felt that freedom Monday in his first-ever round of organized team activites at Redskins Park.
