Who knows how many additional yards and touchdowns Sammy Baugh could’ve racked up had today’s technology been available to him?
It’s a question that’s fun to ponder, but both the Redskins and Nike had “Slinging Sammy” in mind as they developed the team’s new 80th Anniversary Uniforms, which were unveiled Thursday afternoon at Redskins Park.

Rookie Tight End A Late Bloomer

It wasn’t too long ago that many people would’ve thought Redskins rookie tight end Beau Reliford was instead destined for a professional basketball career.
In fact, Reliford didn’t even begin playing football until junior year in high school.
But that decision has paid dividends for the 6-foot-6 tight end from Florida State University

Recap: 80th Anniversary Kickoff

The Washington Redskins kicked off their 80th season of football Thursday with an anniversary celebration at the team’s Indoor Practice Facility at Redskins Park.
Among the festivities were the announcement of the “10 for 80″ campaign, in which fans can vote for their next 10 greatest Redskins to join the 70 greatest players compiled 10 years ago; an 80th Anniversary Kick-Off Tour — coming to a community near you; and the unveiling of the team’s 80th Anniversary Uniforms.
