A Look Inside: 80th Anniversary Kickoff

Redskins Park was buzzing late Thursday afternoon with the kickoff celebration of the Washington Redskins’ 80th Anniversary season, which will be commemorated throughout 2012-13.

Thursday’s celebration was also the first official event held in the team’s brand new Indoor Practice Facility.

Among the activities at the celebration was the unveiling of the Redskins’ 80th Anniversary Uniforms.

Outside linebackers Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan modeled off the uniforms for those in attendance.

It was Orakpo who generated the buzz about the Anniversary Uniforms when he announced last month there was another Redskins jersey yet to be released at the unveiling of the new NFL Nike uniforms.

    Brian, does this mean no more gold pants? I think i’d like them for one year, but I don’t won’t them replacing the classic burgundy jersey/gold pants.

    Those look nice compared to other throwbacks from around the league.
