And what better way to parlay those three key components than to include them with the team’s newest uniforms?
That’s exactly what the team and Nike collaborated to do with the release of the team’s 80th Anniversary Uniforms.

A Look Inside: 80th Anniversary Kickoff

Redskins Park was buzzing late Thursday afternoon with the kickoff celebration of the Washington Redskins’ 80th Anniversary season, which will be commemorated throughout 2012-13.
Thursday’s celebration was also the first official event held in the team’s brand new Indoor Practice Facility.
Among the activities at the celebration was the unveiling of the Redskins’ 80th Anniversary Uniforms.

New Jerseys Mean Old Name For Helu Jr.

Roy Helu Jr. is named after his father, but fans watching the Redskins running back last season wouldn’t necessarily have known that.
Uniform rules at the time did not allow Helu Jr. to have just that — his last name with “Jr.” after it — on his uniform nameplate.
But those rules are all but history now. And Helu Jr. couldn’t be happier.

Sneak Peek At Anniversary Uniform?

We’re eagerly awaiting tonight’s Redskins 80th Anniversary kickoff event at Redskins Park.
I’m expecting one of the coolest aspects of this celebration for fans will be the unveiling of the team’s anniversary Nike uniforms.

Monique Thompkins apparently has a fear of balloons, but that doesn’t mean the Washington Redskins cheerleader doesn’t need reason to celebrate in the coming weeks.
Thompkins — who in November was crowned Miss District of Columbia — needs your help in her quest to be named Miss USA.

Redskins Celebrate Following Caps’ Win

It’s been widely reported how bonkers some Washington Redskins teammates have become in the wake of the success of the local National Hockey League team, the Washington Capitals.
And that attitude was no different Wednesday night, as the Caps defeated the New York Rangers 2-1 to force a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
