Robert Griffin III On ‘Everything To Prove’

Posted by Andrew Walker on May 8, 2012 – 4:50 pm

The NFL Network got some exclusive access to rookie Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III as he prepared for last month’s NFL draft.

Cameras were even rolling in Griffin III’s Texas home as his official draft invitation letter arrived from the commissioner’s office.

The piece aired on the NFL Network’s “Everything to Prove: The Draft Special (3 of 3),” which followed around some of the top college prospects as they went through the draft process — before, during and after.

After the short opening clip in the Griffin home, the piece later catches up with Griffin III at the draft with the Radio City Music Hall crowd chanting, “RG3! RG3!” Griffin III then picks up the ringing phone and the view changes to his burgundy and gold striped socks.

The piece proves Griffin III — who has already been named the starting quarterback by head coach Mike Shanahan — is certainly a popular player nationwide, and makes the excitement in Redskins Nation that much more understandable.

RG3 forever. I think he will be our first qb to be a starter for longer than Joe Theismann. I think he will be among our greatest and the NFLs greatest players. He has no negatives about him.
