QB Video On Day 2 Of Rookie Mini-Camp
Posted by on May 5, 2012 – 1:57 pmWhen the Redskins players reconvened for rookie mini-camp this morning, everything looked a little smoother out on the back practice fields.
Coaches had a better idea of their players, and could work on more individualized instruction. When the team huddled up for offensive and defensive team drills, the coaches began shouting more playbook terminology, with fewer, shorter explanations of play.
As far as exchanges were concerned, quarterbacks hit more of their receivers in the numbers, and center-quarterback exchanged flowed more naturally. For those of you wondering, the coaches have used third-round draft pick Josh LeRibeus as Robert Griffin III’s center during the duration of camp. LeRibeus is expected to compete at offensive guard, but could see time at center down the road.
In the mean time, the two top draft picks will get acquainted over rookie camp snaps. Awesome.
Here’s footage of the three camp quarterbacks taking snaps under the direction of offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, with commentary from Redskins.comTV’s Larry Michael:

I think the redskins should start rg3, kirk cousins backup, and rex grossman 3rd stringer. neil rackers has an edge over gano.

Hmmm. Wonder if they’re thinking of using LeRibeus at center.
