Robert Griffin III Suits Up, Shows Off Arm
Posted by on May 3, 2012 – 4:47 pmIt was a big afternoon at Redskins Park, as we finally got to see rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III suit up in his new threads for the rookie photo shoot. After he was finished, there was still time for him to show off his arm on the back practice fields.
His first Redskins receivers were Ross Taylor from public relations and Blair Williams from the video department. They did a fine job in place of Pierre Garçon and Leonard Hankerson, but will not be appearing on the receiver depth chart any time this year.
Before anyone can criticize, the open-shutter motion effect was intentional, and yes, there will be still-frames of him later. In the mean time, it makes for a pretty cool effect.
The outdoor photo shoot consisted of about a dozen throws, and was capped off with a deep pass to gameday sideline photographer, Ned Dishman. Dishman raced down the field, and Griffin III hit him in stride, but the ball bounced off his chest to the turf. Sorry Ned–good height, but you lack the catching radius to be a red zone target at this level.
Check out more photos from this afternoon’s photo shoot on the Redskins Official Twitter page (@Redskins).

Anybody but Rex campaign…do you remember Beck? I also think Ryan Leaf is looking for a job. Although, I am very excited to have RG3 running the offense and I think Rexy will make a very solid backup for the team.

How do you like my photography skills, everyone?

Whoever took the pictures is using an iPhone and needs to shut off the HDR – the reason for the blurry/ghost images. Or you could leave it on but hold it STEADY.
