Former Redskins great Art Monk was recently involved with a USO ticket promotion for 2011 Military Bowl at RFK Stadium.    In the public service announcement, he thanked military families for the burden of their service to the country, and he reminded fans that 5,000 complimentary tickets were available through the USO.

Here’s the video of his PSA:

Monk has done previous with the USO, and was the ideal candidate to represent what’s great about RFK Stadium and football in the District.  Over the course of his Redskins career, he had 470 rec., 6,329 yards and 36 touchdowns at RFK Stadium.

This was only the second time in the Military Bowl’s history that a military academy was involved in the game (Air Force).  Toledo won the game in a shootout, 42-41.

    NOTE to ALLEN:

Draft a WR high if you musrt, but let’s re-sign HIGHTOWER and forget picking RB’s in this draft. Far too many other needs to take care of first………QB, R-OT, OG, C, NT, SS-ILB, CB, SS, FS. K……….lot’s of other places to pick good players and replace poor or mediocre one’s.

Well, in LONDON’s case begin the search for his replacement. Can’t see him playing at this level for years more. many a couple though. The man is incredible.
