[Editor's Note: Now is no time to jinx the Redskins current situation.  So this will be my blandest MVR post to date.]

The Redskins have battled hard this afternoon and find themselves in a position to be pleased with the results after the game.  As the Couch Potato Head Coach, who would you elect as your MVR(edskin)?

My only question is, what more does Roy Helu have to do to be the starting RB going forward for the rest of 2011? I don’t know why Shanahan went back to Torain after Helu’s first start. It’s obvious that he’s not the same running back he was a year ago. In fact, I’m not entirely sure Helu shouldn’t have been getting more carries back when Hightower was healthy. The numbers don’t lie; he’s been productive when he’s gotten his touches, both in the running game as well as in the passing game. Our offense as a whole moves the ball better with Helu as the running back and he’s enough of a threat to freeze defenses on the play action game. I’m not saying he’s the second coming of Terrell Davis or anything like that, but for what it’s worth, he’s the best active running back on the roster right now.

Yeah, regarding TORAIN, I’m thinking, “what happened?” Last year, he looked like Gang-busters. This year he’s like chopped liver. Are HELU and HIGHTOWER that much better at running the ball? I realize that RYAN is not a multi-dimensional back, but he was effective gaining yards, at least in 2010.
