Posted by Brian Tinsman on November 18, 2011 – 11:55 am

With another week in the books (and another week dead ahead), it’s time to update the virtual Redskins players on EA Sports Madden ’12 game.

The good news for Redskins fans is that, once again, the biggest jump of the week was a jump up.  Linebacker Perry Riley, formerly ranked 59 overall (borderline incompetence), jumped to a 64 overall (marginal professional) following his first career start.

Madden’s overall rankings will never make sense to me.

Riley raked in his first start, tied for the team lead in tackles (9), with four behind the line of scrimmage–a feat that hadn’t been accomplished in a decade.  Coaches are excited about his ability and fans should see him get a big opportunity to show what he can do down the stretch of this season.
