On the gridiron, Redskins rookie Niles Paul is a gritty receiver, respectable return man, and intimidating presence on special teams.

Josh Wilson’s Fairfax County Police Hat

Redskins cornerback Josh Wilson is a child of Redskins Nation, and a DMV native who has come home to roost in Washington.  So while most players will either wear Redskins apparel (Oshiomogho Atogwe conducts all interviews in a Redskins cap), or baseball/football/college caps, Wilson always sports his Fairfax County Police hat for interviews.

Jabar Gaffney Joins The Ranks Of Twitter

Jabar Gaffney becomes the latest veteran Redskins player to join the social media universe, proving that old dogs can learn new tricks.

Gaffney (@JabarGaffney) joins special teamers Nick Sundberg and Graham Gano as new Twitter-ers on the team, but did so at the behest of friend and teammates Donte Stallworth (@Donte Stallworth):

Hightower: Hopefully, I’ll Retire Here

When the Redskins traded for Tim Hightower in training camp, it was a win-win situation.  The team was looking for a playmaker in the backfield that could spark the Shanahan offense.  The player was looking for an opportunity to prove his value as an NFL starter in the final year of his contract.

Fortunately, it looked like a good match.  Unfortunately, it ended prematurely with a season-ending ACL tear in Week 7.
