Paul Defends His Respect For ‘Twilight’
Posted by on November 18, 2011 – 5:38 pm
On the gridiron, Redskins rookie Niles Paul is a gritty receiver, respectable return man, and intimidating presence on special teams.
Off the field, he’s an Angry Birds enthusiast, movie connoisseur, and a shameless lover of the “Twilight” saga:
Going to see Twilight today & don't care what y'all think b/c y'all can't whoop me—

Josh Wilson’s Fairfax County Police Hat
Posted by on November 18, 2011 – 4:08 pmRedskins cornerback Josh Wilson is a child of Redskins Nation, and a DMV native who has come home to roost in Washington. So while most players will either wear Redskins apparel (Oshiomogho Atogwe conducts all interviews in a Redskins cap), or baseball/football/college caps, Wilson always sports his Fairfax County Police hat for interviews.
I finally caught up with him today to discuss the significance, which has three different angles to it: Read more »

Jabar Gaffney Joins The Ranks Of Twitter
Posted by on November 18, 2011 – 3:29 pmJabar Gaffney becomes the latest veteran Redskins player to join the social media universe, proving that old dogs can learn new tricks.
Gaffney (@JabarGaffney) joins special teamers Nick Sundberg and Graham Gano as new Twitter-ers on the team, but did so at the behest of friend and teammates Donte Stallworth (@Donte Stallworth):
Just talked #JabarGaffney into getting a twitter page….—
Donte' Stallworth (@DonteStallworth) November 18, 2011
I told you just yesterday Stallworth was an influential guy.
While Gaffney has maintained his Twitter silence, he said in the locker room to seeing what all the fuss was about. The only person that he’s following in all of Twitter-verse, was excited for his arrival on the social media platform: Read more »

Hightower: Hopefully, I’ll Retire Here
Posted by on November 18, 2011 – 1:10 pmWhen the Redskins traded for Tim Hightower in training camp, it was a win-win situation. The team was looking for a playmaker in the backfield that could spark the Shanahan offense. The player was looking for an opportunity to prove his value as an NFL starter in the final year of his contract.
Fortunately, it looked like a good match. Unfortunately, it ended prematurely with a season-ending ACL tear in Week 7.
Yesterday, Hightower caught up with the media in the locker room, to discuss surgery, the Redskins running game before and after his injury, as well as his wishes to return to Washington: Read more »

Hail! Finds The Solution To ‘Turfgate 2.0′
Posted by on November 18, 2011 – 10:43 amYesterday, we looked back at the synthetic drama that came out of game one against the Cowboys this season. Now that Cowboys center Phil Costa and Redskins defensive end Stephen Bowen have solved their barking differences, “Barkgate” is in the past.
In this week’s Hail! comic, Ben Ceccarelli figures out how to eliminate “Turfgate” for Sunday’s game as well:
