Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.”
This has been the rallying cry of the Redskins players and coaches, who remain in search of their first win since St. Louis. This has been a tough five weeks for everyone at Redskins Park, but spirits are high going into Dallas Week. If there’s one thing about the NFC East, we know that anything is possible. Twice already this season, the team with the worst record in the division has beaten the team with the best record.
Any given Sunday in the NFC East.

CBSSports.com gave the Redskins No. 22, holding steady from No. 22 last week (and the week before):
FoxSports.com bumped the Redskins to No. 28, down from No. 25 last week:
ESPN.com held the Redskins to No. 26, descending from last week’s No. 22:
NFC East blogger for ESPN.com, Dan Graziano, reminds us that it really looks bad now, but hey, it could probably be even worse, considering who the Redskins are in front of:
Five weeks ago, they were ranked 10th in this poll. They have not won since, and are now far more likely to settle somewhere near their preseason rank of 28th than in those lofty Week 5 and Week 6 heights. Things have gotten away from the Redskins quickly. I think they’re ranked about where they should be, but Miami and Carolina are behind them and have a case, since they both beat Washington head-to-head.
The last time that everyone doubted the Redskins ability to win against a divisional opponent, the Redskins came out and trounced the Giants in Week 1. A lot has changed for the team since then, but they’re due for a win this weekend, and no team will bring out the best in Washington like the Cowboys.
