What If Durant Played For The Redskins?
Posted by on November 3, 2011 – 2:35 pmDay Two of trying to make Kevin Durant a serious football player:
Yesterday, I asked you, the people of Redskins Nation, to step into the loafers of general manager Bruce Allen, and decide whether or not you would bring in NBA star, Maryland Native, and noted Redskins fan Kevin Durant.
To the tune of 81 percent, you said “Yes!”
Today, the fine folks at Panini America (via SBNation’s Mike Prada) imagined what it would look like to have “Trey5” in a Redskins uniform. Via “The Knight’s Lance,” official blog of Panini America:
Durant’s dominating performance on the gridiron immediately got us here at Panini Americadreaming about the endless football card possibilities of such a dreamy vocational relocation. So seeing as how Durant is one of our exclusive athletes (and since the Redskins could obviously use the offensive help), we dispatched an all-star team of creative experts to concoct two fantasy football cards.
And here is the result:
This looks like a combination of Doug Williams’s quarterback pose and Leonard Hankerson’s helmet shot. Either way, I like it a lot.

Perhaps he should play QB. Can’t be much worse than the two options out there now…

Basketball skills aside, he needs to gain some serious weight and get some physical toughness before anyone thinks he can put on some pads. Have you ever seen him on the court? He’s one of the thinnest guys in the NBA.
