Thunderstorms Delay Wednesday Practice
Posted by on September 7, 2011 – 1:10 pmAnother soggy afternoon practice at Redskins Park got delayed thanks to torrential downpours for the third day in a row.
Just as players were taking the field, thunder rolled across the sky, to the delight of some veteran players:
Players aren’t allowed to practice or play with lightning in the area, but the call goes to the head coach to end practice. Inside linebacker London Fletcher was heard yelling, “Is coach down here yet?”
Only a few minutes later, players were called off the field and rushed up the hill for cover:
ESPN 980′s Chris Russell has cat-like reflexes to dodge the camera shot.
Coaches announced that they would try to let this storm blow over and re-assess the situation at 1:45 p.m. I’m packing my life jacket tomorrow.
