Anthony Armstrong Has Inspirational Shoes
Posted by on August 26, 2011 – 3:59 pmAnthony Armstrong finally had his breakout game of the preseason last night, coming alive with two catches for 51 yards, and throwing his hat in the ring for returner (one return, 31 yards).
Prior to last night, he had only four receptions for 41 yards. He responded after the game with a tweet, expressing his excitement:
I love my job. #BlessedTweet—

Before the trade for Jabar Gaffney and the return of free agent, Armstrong spent much of the offseason as the top projected receiver. Despite the crowded receiver corps, there’s no reason that Armstrong can’t be a big-time receiver for the Redskins in 2011.
Perhaps his new kicks are lending some inspiration:

According to the New International translation of the good book, Ephesian 6:10 reads:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
I don’t think the Bible says anything about ‘go’ routes or redzone efficiency, so this seems like a good option.
Armstrong is a guy that’s easy to cheer for because he works hard, he performs when he’s called upon, and he cheers for his teammates. He’s consistently talked about his friendship with the other receivers this preseason and downplayed how much positive influence he’s had on the younger guys.
He even took time to tweet his congratulations to his Redskins teammates that were named Players of the Year:
Congrats to @eighttodanine @rak98 & @onemangang97 for winning their respective awards!—

Keep an eye out for No. 13 in his second season with the Redskins.

JMHO, but I think you start Armstrong as the 1 or 2 and move Moss to the slot. Moss would be able to terrorize D’s because you wouldn’t be able to account for him with a corner every play. Moss has lost about 1/2 a step but Armstrong can flat out fly. Let’s get this done. We can call it the RotGut set. Watch the points rain down. HTTR!!!
