I mean, sometimes the title of a post really says it all. I can provide a few more details, sure:
- The creature in the foreground is a porcupine at the San Diego Zoo. He’s eating an ear of corn. It looks like yellow corn, but I can’t really be sure.
- The San Diego Zoo has an excellent and informative webpage about porcupines.
- The gentleman in the hat and red shirt is new Redskins fifth-round draft pick DeJon Gomes, and the gentleman peering over his shoulder is new Redskins fourth-round draft pick Roy Helu. They — along with the other folks in the picture (although not the little boy to the right) — were members of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team.
- In 2010, Nebraska went to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. One of the days of Holiday Bowl week is Team Day At The San Diego Zoo. I’m guessing this photo is from the 2010 Team Day At The San Diego Zoo.
Beyond that, though … I mean, the title really does say it all. It’s two of the Redskins’ 2011 draft picks with a porcupine, who is eating an ear of corn. Click the photo to enlarge, and there’s another picture — of Gomes getting perilously close to touching the porcupine — after the jump.
