A Few More Honors For DeAngelo Hall

Talking to the media after his four-interception day last Sunday, DeAngelo Hall said, “I had my mom, my aunt, and my two cousins in the stands. The first ball went to my mom. Second ball went to my aunt. Next thing you know, everybody had a ball.”
It was a great line, all the better because it was completely true: Judy Porta, who describes herself as “a jealous Bears fan but happy for [Hall's] mom,” snapped the picture above of Joan Hall after the game and was kind enough to share it with us. (Actually, all of the Bears fans I encountered were generous — much like their quarterback, but vastly more polite about it.)
Since then, Hall has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, done eleven thousand interviews, and had his jersey shipped off to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in Canton, Ohio. And today, he got a couple more honors.
First, the folks over at (LANGUAGE WARNING) Kissing Suzy Kolber gave him their Meast Of The Week award — fitting, as the award is named after late Redskins safety Sean Taylor.
Even more exciting, Hall’s interceptions made him the topic of The Onion’s Fan On The Street for today:
And, really, once you’ve made The Onion, how much better can things get?
