Chris Draft Really Likes Reading
Posted by Matt Terl on July 14, 2010 – 12:19 pmI’ve noted before in this space that Redskins linebacker Chris Draft is a big fan of reading. Heck, we’ve even had a comic strip about it. But Draft really elevated that whole thing yesterday, joining United States Secretary of Education Arne Duncan for a “Let’s Read Let’s Move” event with area youth. And he brought a couple of his fellow linebackers along for the ride as well.
Redskins.com TV was there, and it’s a good thing they were: not only do you get to see the Redskins players helping in the community, you can marvel at Draft’s skillz at hopscotch, jump-rope, and Nerf basketball. And I’ll say this, also: even if Draft is just HALF as motivated on the football field as he is in the community, he could be a surprise force for the team this season.
