Chris Draft Really Likes Reading

Posted by Matt Terl on July 14, 2010 – 12:19 pm

I’ve noted before in this space that Redskins linebacker Chris Draft is a big fan of reading. Heck, we’ve even had a comic strip about it. But Draft really elevated that whole thing yesterday, joining United States Secretary of Education Arne Duncan for a “Let’s Read Let’s Move” event with area youth. And he brought a couple of his fellow linebackers along for the ride as well.

Not so fast, says Rich Campbell, Redskins beat writer for the Free Lance-Star in Fredericksburg. Campbell interviewed with Haynesworth’s trainer in Tennessee, and came away sounding somewhat startled. Writes Campbell: Read more »

The thing I like best about this branding campaign is the look and feel of the whole thing — the colors, the film speed, the stylized depiction of practice, all of that. But this second spot has something else that I like even more: a voiceover that expresses the same thing as so many of the fans who email me.

“No more looking back. It’s our time. Time to stop talking — and start playing.” I suspect that a whole lot of Redskins fans couldn’t agree more. Read more »
