DeAngelo Hall On Haynesworth And Missing Strasmas

“I told people he would have a hell of a game,” Hall said today, “but I couldn’t have predicted that! [Gosh darn]! I was [freakin'] close, wasn’t I?” He was, which is why he’s the official baseball correspondent and I’m not.
Hall missed the game (“[Heck] YEAH, I wish I had gone!”) but plans to see Strasburg’s next home start. And saying he’s impressed with the 14 strikeouts is an understatement. I asked him what that achievement compared to in NFL cornerback terms, and his response was … extravagant. “Equivalent to fourteen strikeouts and winning the game,” he repeated. “[Shoot]. Probably a [freakin'] hat trick, man. Three interceptions, and one of ‘em to the house so the team ends up winning by a touchdown.Or t wo picks and a fumble. Either way.”
Yes, that would be fairly impressive.
But enough baseball. Hall also discussed what he expects when Albert Haynesworth shows up for mandatory mini-camp next week.

A Very Early Crack At The (Almost) 53-Man Roster
Posted by on June 10, 2010 – 10:11 am
John Keim, Washington Examiner beat writer, has written about the Redskins for just about every publication imaginable. If you come across a Redskins-related article in, say, Food + Wine magazine, odds are good that Keim was the guy who wrote it.
So when he weighs in on something, it’s usually worth listening to. And today, a scant two-plus months before the start of preseason, what he’s weighing with is a “Redskins camp countdown” at The Sporting News. Much of what he says will be familiar to the sort of person who’s likely to be reading the official Redskins blog, but there was one thing that I thought merited a closer look:
Keim has laid out a depth chart essentially projecting 49 of the 53 final roster spots, and Keim foresees good news for William Robinson, bad news for Justin Medlock, unsurprising news for Donovan McNabb, and inconclusive news for Colt Brennan and his fanbase. Here, check it out: Read more »
