DeAngelo Hall Takes Over ESPN, Enjoys Tattoos, Bowling, Madden

Posted by Matt Terl on March 8, 2010 – 1:44 pm

Well, DeAngelo Hall is on every ESPN outlet known to man today. I caught him on ESPN First Take and read his ESPN Chat; I deliberately skipped The Herd with Colin Cowherd (because it would take a lot more than a random offseason DHall appearance to get me to sit through that show); I’ll catch his Scott Van Pelt Show appearance on podcast; and I’m sure I’ll see at least one airing of his NFL Live interview.

So far, despite getting full car wash treatment from ESPN — because they put you on a conveyor and drag you through all their shows, see? — the always-frank Hall has managed to avoid saying anything too inflammatory while still agreeably carrying the discussion.

On what he would do with the Redskins’ draft if he were the GM: Read more »

Er, yeah.

Before I get to my actual point, though, let me quickly note that this far from the only thing Banks is wrong about in this column. The piece looks at each of the available big-name free agents, then predicts both where they WILL go and where they SHOULD go. In an ideal world, this gives Banks two chances to be at least half “right” in his predictions; in actual fact, it just doubles his opportunities to be wrong.
