More On Those Never-Created Black Uniforms That Everyone Hates

All the credit in the world to commenter Terence, who kindly pointed out that there was much more to Gameplan Creative‘s proposed Redskins uniforms than I showed in my earlier post. (My fault; I was completely misunderstanding their site navigation.)
And, since the earlier post kind of caught on a little bit — albeit not always in the most favorable way — I figure I’d be remiss if I didn’t share the rest of this stuff as well.
Apparently, according to the site, “Gameplan developed over 30 different uniform studies with the top 12 represented. The Redskins team helmet designs reflect the different uniform designs. In addition, Gameplan proposed an alternate Monday Night Special black uniform.”
Including, apparently, a few suggested Monday Night Special black helmets (click image to enlarge):
And also including multiple treatments of the Monday Night Special black uniform:
The good people at Gameplan Creative were kind enough to even offer a downloadable PDF of the uniform study; the images that appear above and below in this post are extracted pages, but you can see the entire study — including many more permutations of the uniform — in that link.
I still don’t like most of these proposed uniforms (and I still really don’t like the ones that are heavy on the black), but I’m impressed with the amount of work and research that Gameplan Creative put into designing them.
Yellow numbers outlined in burgundy on a field of black, though? For the Redskins? That just seems like plain crazy talk.
See more at their website and in the PDF.
