Head Coach Jim Zorn Agrees With Greg Blache

During his daily media chat session, head coach Jim Zorn was asked his opinion on Greg Blache's impassioned defense of Daniel Snyder. You might have thought -- given all the reports that swirled around Sherm Lewis taking over play-calling duties -- that this might've been a tense moment, but that wasn't how it played out at all.
Zorn didn't hesitate before agreeing with Blache and offering up his own defense of the owner -- and taking responsibility for a big chunk of the problem.
"Dan Snyder is a guy that absolutely cares about other people. He does not have that kind of [dark heart] attitude," Zorn said.
"And I haven't been here all that long -- I haven't been here as long as Greg has been here -- but I have seen time and time again Dan reach to anybody in this program, even the secondary parts of this program, and help in any way he can when there's need. I've seen it. And I would concur with what Greg had to say about Dan really caring about winning. I mean, I really do."
Asked to address all the drama of this season, he continued, "Some of the words that are said are just so harsh. I mean, gosh. It's just ALL the time, it just seems like everybody's down. And part of that is on me. We're losing. And that creates issues. And I think that's more of the problem than anything: it's losing. And I wanna help change that."

Spoken by two spinless dopes that will be fired and hoping to save thier jobs by any means neccesary.. Even speaking fondly of the Devil who created the horrid atmosphere to begin with. So typical that Zorn jumps on the coat tails of Blatch. Talk about a whimp thing to do. No wonder our team is worthless and weak minded.

"spinless" dope? "Blatch"? "Whimp"? Yeah, that ought to be the last time you say anything about anyone. If you're going to write about anyone in a derogatory fashion, I think you owe it to the literate public to LEARN TO SPELL. ESPECIALLY when one of the three words cited was RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU when you wrote it. Moron...

Blache a spineless dope? Perhaps the ability of Snyder to garner sort of loyalty is part of why the team continues the death spiral. Sounds like good self-PR. Look at the letter Snyder sent to skins employees as he was buying the team right before he fired many of them. It's floating around ExtremeSkins now. Sounds awfully positive, engenders good will, but them WHAM. He fires you. He fires Norv. He fires LaVar. He fires Brad Johnson.
He's got to be a good people person until he flips. What other skills does he have that would account for his success?

Lavar was drafted after Snyder had already taken over. He was let go during the Greg Williams era becasue it was felt he was to much of a frelance player.

im tierd of all this talk about the owner. he has done what any owner is responsible for to pay the players on his team and that is what he does..the blame if anything should be on the players and coaches especially that of the offense and special teams.. why keep playing these unproductive players at key positions like Cartwrite at KR and Randel EL at PR .we need speed at those postitions like Devin in the KR and Moss in the PR..also why not put Marko mitchell in the game he was the only productive player in the preseason and outplayed every reciever except MOSS.

The lengths to which the people around this guy have to go in order to reassure his ego are unbelievable.
Sell the team, you impetuous buffoon.

Matt,
The more you put up on the blog about Syndie and company. the more fodder and insight we have to just pick apart their stunningly inept ways. Either you are putting this up with an agenda in mind to join the revolution against ALL THINGS SYNDER" or you are putting this up for hope that we will look at the idiots in a different more respected light. If it's the ladder..its backfiring.. Nothing can be written in good faith that this media machine (Skins blog) puts out that will change our minds until the axe falls on Vinny neck with Zorn and Co.

i agree with blatche and zorn. i think riggins's comments crossed the line.
i disagree with just about every move snyder has made as an owner and he has terrible football sense (re-hiring cerrato after schottenheimer fired him, for one) but that doesn't mean he's a bad human being. this is football. it's a game. we all take it seriously (probably too seriously). but that doesn't mean that we, as fans, have to hate snyder as a person to disagree with all of the terrible decisions he has made and hope that he sells the team.

The owner gaining respect from his coaches is a bad thing? A PR stunt? All of you against Snyder are incompetent. First, Snyders wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer so his full attention will not be on the team. Second, we should feel lucky to have an owner who will spend the money to bring in the best athletes. Look what Hayneworth has done to the pass rush. Third, he has a GM that he listens to. If anyone should get knocked it is Cerrato. No more numbering too many points. Zorn did not come here as a head coach and does not have the personel on offense for the west coast scheme. All of you stop bi%@#$* and get behind the team. They need our support not boos and doubt. These times make the highs higher. Get back on the wagoin and support the guys who we enjoy watching every Sunday. It is easy to be negative when a team is losing but it is hard to stand behind them and be proud of our history. This team is struggling but there is noway I will bash them seven days of the week.

I agree with you about Synder. He is trying and willing to spend the money. I really think we would be more competitive with a different QB.

Umm Allen..are you really Punchdaclock? Because that was one dumba$$ post brother. Get ready for the tomatoes to be thrown at you.
PS.. Synders wife dosent have breast cancer anylonger. She is a spokeswoman for the cause. As far as $ynder bringing in the best Athletes ...Besides Hanynsworth..who would these so called best Athletes be? Are they the ones like Archuletta /Jason Taylor and Brandon Loyd..those Athletes ?? some of which $nyder traded valuable draft picks for that we could of used on O Linemen?? Think before you speak MORON

Two weeks ago I swear I heard she was diagnosed agian. If not then I apologize. How is it Snyders fault those guys you mentioned came in and did not play well? I agree that the draft is where long term success is built. I also apologize for saying your incompentant. I am very fustrated with the fans bashing this organization so hard. This franchise is in a period of turmoil but will come out of it. I am also fustrated that I cannot talk to anyone about how the Skins can win this week. Falcons are on their heels and need someone to give them a break. No turnovers and Flacons held scoreless in the first quarter we have a shot. The falcons are a run first then long pass team. They did that last week and lost. They are vulnerable and I think the players should be shown we think they can do it. I hate the SKins losing but will not bash them as if "what have you done for me lately". That is easy to do. Don't do it

...And whats not being reported on are the countless of employees and ex-employees, of Mr. Snyder, who called today on 106.7 the Fan/WJFK (the alternative all sports station in the nation's capital). Their stories on Snyder....were not so kind. I believe John Riggins bashing of Mr. Snyder was out of line, but unfortunately...the truth does hurt.

I have to put up with a bunch of Cowboy fans all day long at work and now it seem like every post here is as bad as their comments. If the coaches don't speak then they are Spineless and if they do they are spineless also??? If Snyder only wanted money and not a winning franchise than he would sell the second most valuable Team in the NFL. He pays his employees more money than most teams do and Zorn probably is set for life. Yes terrible what a Devil. Norv,LaVar, and Johnson never produced so they got fired!!

It't not Snyder.. he wants to win.. the prob is Vinny.. We need a GM who will tell Snyder the correct people to spend the money on... look- I hate the yankees but they spent the money on the right people (teixeira & sabathia) and they won the championship.. Snyder is willing to spend all his money.. he just needs someone other than Vinny to speak up and tell hiim who to sign.. spending the money isnt the wrong idea.. it just needs to be placed properly..

Paul/Paulette/pseudo paul you have no life at all. Why don't you post 5 more times on this blog. No one cares.
I think I will listen to people who no the man not fake people who comment constently to a teams blog that they don't like. Your stance is stupid. Even if the team is winning you will still say Snyder should sale the team and Vinny should be fired. That is a dumbass stance. If the team is winning... BE HAPPY THE TEAM IS WINNING!
Anybody that listens to lavar is an idiot also. He underachieved so much when he played here, but got paid like a superstar. Now he is salty because he can't play anymore!! Why isn't he mad at the Giants?? They cut his ass because he sucks!!!

I think I will listen to people who are not on Dan's payroll. Maybe Lavar underachieved because he had ten different defensive coordinators during his career with the redskins. Maybe Lavar played his but off for this team and got injured and cut his career short in the process. This team is not winning so there is nothing to be happy about. Dan Snyder is an arrogant person and has totally decimated this team and it is all his fault. As for Zorn, Cerrato, and Blache they are just parroting everything they supposed to say.

The problem is that we did or do have talent on our team and we have not been able to utilize it correctly. Snyder did get Portis, Cooley, and a defense that has been better than average over the years. Yes, our offensive line did not get addressed over the years but most important we have lacked a QB. Have you seen what Rogers has done in G-Bay with that line. He is being killed back there and still gets it done!
