Rocky McIntosh Loves Football
I sometimes think that -- despite the paintball and the roller coasters and all that -- it doesn't quite come across just what an interesting character linebacker Rocky McIntosh can be.
Fortunately, the magic of internet videos will help alleviate that concern. Here's the new welcome video for Rocky's website, in which he attempts to convey how much he loves football. And goofy dancing and Scrabble, but mainly football.

A little off topic here - I tried posting this elsewhere but it never materialized;
Voicing your frustrations is natural and can be productive as long as you move on from there.
I have found several of these posts extremely negative and counter-productive though. I am a Redskin fan, always have been and always will be - even when they lose. Trust me, I feel just as frustrated as the fans who feel the need to rewrite our song, but I feel that sort of expression does more harm than simply voicing your dismay.
Firing anybody right now would probably do more harm than good - including Vinny.
I do think a good "house cleaning" is needed - but actually releasing players needs to wait until after the season.
I agree that other players should be given a chance, but I don't want to play players that are happy/content to be 2nd string. I don't really know any of these players personally, so my opinion is from the outside and therefore could be completely off base, but I do see a lack of "want to" from some players.
Here is what I think should happen;
- Let Devin return kickoffs.
- Give Davis every opportunity to prove he can block and therefore is ready for a larger role.
- Play Marko - period.
- Don't mess with the Defense - if the Offense improves, the D will improve for the simple reason that they won't be on the field as much and/or put into poor field position as much.
- Bring in a QB who has proven he can EXCELL in a west coast offense and has a bit of an attitude (Jeff Garcia??)
- Trade JC - I have been pulling for this guy since day one, so this is a difficult transition, I just don't think he's our guy.
- Give Zorn a 2 year contract extension - his job security CANNOT be a distraction like it has been all year. If players think the coach is a "Lame duck", then why do they have to listen to him.
- Resign Mason and let him and Portis be the feature back tandem.
- EVERYBODY needs to realize that we are, in fact, RE-BUILDING (at least offensively) so we need to throw some of the younger players in there to see if they can play - they will make rookie mistakes, but I believe many of them have the heart/desire to be ballers. I'll take excitement/rookie mistakes over veteran mediocracy on offense right now.
I know I'll get blasted for a couple of these, but again, this is what I think needs to happen right now.
Hail to the REDSKINS.

I disagree with many of your points:
Why have Devin return kicks, he has been horrible when he has done it. Rock does not give you that break away speed but he is steady and consistenly breaks many at least to the 35 to 40 yard line.
Why not fire Vinny now. There is no chance to make the playoffs this year so why let him linger and cause more damage. BTW, did you see his interview in which he denied there was any problem with the offensive line and said he gave Zorn a playoff caliber team. Wow is that guy delusional. That is the root cause of why the team has declined.
Fire Zorn, he is a very nice guy and may have succeded as an Offensive coordinator and play caller but it is clear he does not have what it takes to be a head coach.
The team is in a major re-building mode and needs to get rid of all high priced players who are 30 or older. They need at least 4 good O-line, 2 receivers (Devin and Malcom will never be good), a good young running back (give Mason a chance but I don't think he is legit (Timmy Smith / Reggie Brooks), a franchise QB and it isn't Colt as much as people are in love with the guy for some reason (watch his pre-season play against opposing teams 2nd and 3rd string and tell me if he is ready for prime time).
Defensively they are not as good as people think. They can't stop the run, can't get turnovers (still), can't get people off the feild on 3rd down, and don't make any big plays to give the offense a short feild.
Haysneworth has been great and has made Carter good but is he worth all the money and cap space, they need at least 2 new DB's Carlos can't cover man, Deangelo is okay but not worth what they are paying him. I say give Barnes and Tryon a chance for the rest of the year and see if they have any chance to be future starters.
The biggest key is draft pics and stability. They need to get a front office in place who can evaluate talent and build a team. They need to pic some players and build through the draft, stop trading away pics on players that don't contribute (Duckett, Jason Taylor, etc). Re-building is not a quick process, the owner needs to give the new GM, coach at least 4 years to work their plan and build a team.
