Chris Samuels Exploring His Options

Reports of Chris Samuels' retirement have been slightly exagerrated. Maybe.
Although Samuels' injury -- combined with his pre-existing stenosis -- may eventually require the tackle to be put on injured reserve, thus ending his 2009 season, his current plan is to consult with specialists and explore his options before he makes a final decision regarding his future.
Samuels released the following statement through the team: "I will continue to seek medical advice. I hope to see where I am physically over the next couple months. At this time, I have not made a decision, but I love playing for the Redskins and hope to be back."

Considering he could be paralyzed if he plays again, I hope he does retire.
I hope no one is trying to get him to reconsider.
The Redskins "seem" somewhat caught off guard by this, despite reports that they knew for days, if not weeks that his season was over.

Thanks for your faithful service Mr. Samuels. While the two bums in the front office don't appreciate your service over the years we fans certainly do! HAIL CHRIS SAMUELS!

Thanks for everything Chris! You've been a warrior for the last decade, and you've been a real Redskins. Congratulations on your retirement! HTTR!
What's up Matt? Is Danny and Vinny trying to plan a "Honor Chris Samuels weekend" during one of the Sunday Night prime time games we have this year? Let the man spend some time with his family, you haven't helped him for the last 10 plus years, don't milk him dry!
HAIL!

One of the greatest Redsksins to play the left tackle. Thoughts & prayers that you recover & return 100% but only "He" can decide that. HUGE shoes to fill. Randy Thomas down & now Chris Samuels, is it now time to sign Pete Kendall for the season?

Mr. Redskin, good luck and God's speed to you. We would love to see you back but we would more love to see you walking in your 60's. If you can not make it back, you will be greatly missed by all of Redskins Nation.
