Monday, September 7: Three More To The Practice Squad

The Redskins filled out their practice squad this morning, adding three players to bring the total to eight.

  • Linebacker Darrel Young returns, after a preseason as a surprise special teams standout (and generally good guy)
  • Wide receiver Onrea Jones, a six-foot wideout from Hampton who compares his game to Hines Ward and spent last season with the Arizona Cardinals
  • And quarterback Andre’ Woodson, formerly a Heisman Trophy front-runner at Kentucky, and most recently of the New York Giants; at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, Woodson is built much more like starter Jason Campbell (6-5, 230) than either Colt Brennan or Chase Daniel were.
