Yes, Phillip Daniels Is Still On The Team
A few people who were watching Total Access on the NFL Network last night have asked me about this:

Yes, that's Phillip Daniels down there in the "Lost" column, and, no, that's not accurate. Do not panic. He's still on the team.
It's a pity that this is what jumped out, though, because it's a genuinely good segment. There's a detailed look at the team's offseason, along with one of those slightly goofy announcers-on-a-little-tiny-field things to demonstrate the potential impact of Albert Haynesworth on an already good defense, as well as Brian Orakpo rushing the passer.
Sure, it goes into the by-now-familiar refrain about Jason Campbell's offseason (this time it's a "dalliance" with Jay Cutler, not a "flirtation"), but it's clear that the analysts have done their homework on the team -- especially Rod Woodson, who discusses about half the roster -- and it's a nice overview despite the minor Phillip Daniels glitch.
You can see the video here, or after the jump.

Note the "LB" designation for Orakpo in the Added column. I know the team's feeling him out at LB. But, until he plays a down at LB, he should be listed as a DE. Just saying.

When will people (ESPECIALLY the 'Skins coaches) realize that Orakpo is a DE and NOT a OLB?

It was the fans that voted and you know how many closet Dallas fans there are out there. I'm sure they were voted in the top ten at least.

Well, judging from last year's results, there are 19, actually:
Steelers, Cards, Titans, Giants, Panthers, Colts, Ravens, Dolphins, Falcons, Patriots, Vikings, Eagles, Cowboys, Bucs, Bears, Jets, Chargers, Texans, and Saints.
Oh, and none of them spent the off-season alienating their starting QB.

Great link. Thanks, Matt. You're right, Rod Woodson is very impressive in his analysis.

I think they meant Demetric Evans. Thats the only notable DE that the team lost other than Taylor.

I think Orakpo's agent will not be happy if the skins continue to list him as an OLB and not DE. Lets face it. its harder to make the pro bowl as a OLB than a DE. They made that mistake with Cooley a couple years ago, and he almost left.

Brenpat, I sincerely hope that the Redskins don't make any on field decisions based on the happiness of agents. The Redskins need to keep the best players on the roster and play them wherever they will best help the team. I'm sure you would agree that the Redskins advancing deep into the playoffs is much more of a priority than having players make the Pro Bowl.

I do agree that the skins must play the players at the appropriate positions. However, in this day and age and with an uncapped year coming up, the skins must protect their assets. Hopefully, Carter will play at pro bowl level and all will be forgiven of the past several years of inactivity, but until then, i believe in playing our #1 draft pick at his natural position. DE
