- When DeAngelo Hall joined the team last year, I was expecting surliness and attitude and all those other things that were attached to his name after his stints in Atlanta and Oakland. What I found instead was a genuinely nice guy who fit in with the other defensive backs and made a good impression on and off the field. The now-ubiquitous Homer McFanboy took a break from his non-stop Capitals coverage to conduct an interview with Hall that does a good job of showing someone at least reasonably similar to the guy I’ve seen around here.
Like in this excerpt from Hall: “I didn’t have too much of an offseason, I’ve been up here all throughout the week working out with the team doing offseason workouts. I try to go home on the weekends to visit my kids and my family, but it’s been good though. So far it’s been all football.”

Tuesday, May 12: Cooley's Rock Star Moment
Posted by on May 12, 2009 – 12:59 pmFourteen hours ago (ish), Chris Cooley tweeted that he had arrived in L.A, and nothing since. Perhaps you are the sort of person who is wondering what Cooley was doing with that time, behind the Twitter blackout. Thanks to a video posted at TMZ.com, you can answer at least part of the question: he was onstage with Brad Penny of the Boston Red Sox and mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell singing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’”.
I think it’s safe to assume that’s what most everyone is doing in long gaps between Twitter updates.
For a slightly less musical version of Cooley (I assume), check out tonight’s NFL Total Access on the NFL Network. Read more »
