Thursday, April 23: Redskins 2009 Draft Hat

The run-up to this weekend’s draft continues. I’m holding off on doing a mock draft until the last possible moment — so that’ll be up tomorrow, if you’re eagerly waiting for it for some reason.

At this point, there are a lot of things we don’t know. For example, will the team be able to trade down? Will they try to trade up? Who will they pick at 13? Will they be able to get a second first-day pick from someone? How many times will Mel Kiper use the phrase “strong-armed” to describe Matthew Stafford? Who will be the poor sap who wins this year’s Brady Quinn Memorial Miserable Last Guy In The Green Room award? All important questions.

But we do know at least one thing: what the hat looks like that the Redskins eventual draftees will be wearing. A whole box of them showed up from Reebok yesterday, and they are lightweight, stylish, and very, very yellow. For added authenticity in your mock drafts, Photoshop them onto the heads of your projected Redskins draft picks.
