- The amazing Mock Draft-O-Matic 2000 over at DC Pro Sports Report has analyzed something like twelve billion mock drafts and reached a consensus: the Redskins will be selecting one of the top four offensive tackle prospects with the thirteenth overall pick in this weekend’s draft. Currently, Michael Oher tops the list (that’s him at the combine pictured above), but he and Andre Smith have been jockeying back and forth in the spot.
- Matt Snyder at Fanhouse takes a different approach in his “perfect draft” for the Redskins, suggesting that defensive end Brian Orakpo would be the optimal first-round pick.
- But according to Peter King’s Monday Morning Quarterback today, all of that number-crunching may have been a waste of time for both DCPSR and Fanhouse. King suggests that “the three most influential men atop the 2009 Draft are Scott Pioli, Dan Snyder and [USC quarterback prospect Mark] Sanchez.” This comes on the heels of reports that Sanchez and Redskins officials were out on the town in the District Friday night.
