After a season where his work ethic and attitude were repeatedly questioned, Devin Thomas has apparently spent the offseason transforming his approach to the game. On this blog alone, we’ve seen him personally answering fan mail, holding a candid interview with Larry Michael about what went wrong last season, and building special teams chemistry by (fruitlessly) taunting Ethan Albright in the run-up to the NCAA Championship game. And I can certainly attest to his presence and enthusiasm for the workouts that are going on right now. So far, so good.
The next step in Thomas’s ongoing plan for world (or at least DC metro area) domination? A website and blog. The first blog post echoes his Redskins Nation interview, talking about the chip on his shoulder and explaining what the Redskins and their fans can expect from him this season:
This season Redskins fans can expect a more reliable guy, more intense, a guy who’s going to be out there making plays because it’s my time to do that. This is the year I make the coaching staff have to use me.
